About DSpace
DSpace software was created as part of a joint project between developers from MIT and HP Labs. The first release of DSpace software was developed in November 2002. DSpace is a free open source solution designed for accounting, management and distribution of electronic content, including file formats PDF, Word, JPEG, MPEG, and TIFF.
